Simply enter a username or UUID to get started
Simple, reliable and affordable Minecraft server hosting. Thousands of modpacks supported!
Low latency around the world:
MinecraftUUID.com is a simple and easy-to-use utility created by the developers of ServerFlex where you can search for any Minecraft player. Simply enter any Minecraft player's username or UUID (with or without hyphens) to instantly retrieve all information that Mojang provides about their profile, including username & UUID, account creation date, and renders of their current player skin.
This tool is especially useful for quickly and accurately retrieving player information on the fly, such as when you are wanting to identify UUIDs located in player data files where no username can be found. Another example is using this tool to convert usernames to UUIDs to generate a whitelist for your own Minecraft server. There are many other examples in which this tool may prove useful.
Type any Minecraft Java Edition username or UUID into the search box. We accept both full UUIDs (with hyphens) and trimmed UUIDs (without hyphens).
Our service queries the official Mojang API in real-time to retrieve the most up-to-date player information associated with that account.
Instantly see the player's UUID, trimmed UUID, account creation date, current skin render, and name history - all on one clean page.
Try searching for some of the most well-known Minecraft players to see the tool in action.
Common questions about Minecraft UUIDs and our lookup tool.
A UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) is a 128-bit number assigned to every Minecraft account. It looks like this: 069a79f4-44e9-4726-a5be-fca90e38aaf5. Unlike usernames, UUIDs never change - even if a player changes their in-game name, their UUID stays the same forever. This makes UUIDs the most reliable way to identify a Minecraft player.
No. Once a UUID is assigned to a Minecraft account, it is permanent and cannot be changed. This is by design - it allows servers, plugins, and data files to always identify a player regardless of username changes.
The easiest way is to use the search tool on this page - just enter your Minecraft username and your UUID will be displayed instantly. You can also find it in-game by pressing F3 on Java Edition, or by checking the launcher_profiles.json file in your .minecraft folder.
A full UUID includes hyphens (e.g., 069a79f4-44e9-4726-a5be-fca90e38aaf5) while a trimmed UUID removes them (e.g., 069a79f444e94726a5befca90e38aaf5). Both represent the same account. Some Minecraft tools and APIs require one format or the other, so we display both for convenience.
Since Minecraft Java Edition allows players to change their username, servers need a way to persistently identify players. UUIDs solve this - they link to an account permanently. This means your inventory, permissions, bans, and progress are always tied to you, even if you change your name.
This tool uses the Mojang API, which only covers Minecraft Java Edition accounts. Bedrock Edition (Windows 10, mobile, console) uses Xbox Live gamertags and XUIDs instead of Mojang UUIDs.
